Set in an apocalyptic earth, a young man travels with his dog by finding food and drink to survive. While that may seem bizarre enough, the man and dog are able to communicate with each other telepathically. The dog finds a young woman for whom the man can have sexual intercourse with, only to find out that she is interferring with their need to continue scaverging for nutrition and finding safe places to rest. After a long ordeal of being treated as an outcast in a high-structure civilization, the man and his dog escape and become close pals again after being separated in the name of romance.

Step Brothers is a funny movie
Starring Will Ferrell and John C. Reiley, these two act as newly-found step brothers. Initially, there is a lot of tension betweent them. But after getting to appreciate each other over time, the new parents want the two sons to find a job and begin living independently. To skip ahead, the step parents start their own karaoke machine distribution company, making income from the business, allowing them to live on their own. This movie has lots of gross-out and sexual themes, so this is probably not the best choice for a young child.

The Dark Knight is a very intense flick
This one is definitely not for young children. Full of violence and dark themes, the main plot revolves around Bruce Wayne and the Joker. Heath Ledger plays a Nicholson-esque portayal of the Joker, ala the first Batman movie directed by Tim Burton. Also, the movie runs a little long, but that's probably not such a bad thing for hardcore Batman fans. Not for the squeemish, this will be one of this summer's best attractions at the cinema.
